How much does it cost to attend college in New Jersey?   The average annual in-state college tuition in New Jersey was $15,355 for the 2015-2016 academic year. This is $1,769 higher than the U.S. average and ranks New Jersey amongst the costliest as the 13th most expensive and 40th most affordable state or district to attend college.
