How much does it cost to attend community college in North Carolina?   The average annual in-state two year college tuition in North Carolina was $3,465 for the 2018-2019 academic year. This is a change of $140 from the 2015-2016 average of $3,325 and represents a 4.21% annual increase. Sampson Community College is the most expensive community school in North Carolina with an in-state tuition of $2,736.
